Tip # 12 Have a second mantra for after the job gets done
Have a second mantra that you can recite after you complete a task. I completed my task! I focused well and didnt allow myself to procrastinate. This translates to about 0.00 that I can take to the bank.
It may sound vulgar to attach a monetary value to every task accomplished. This reinforces the belief that time is money. And when you make a final tally, youd be surprised at what you end up with.
Time can always be expressed as a savings or a loss. Its all up to you. And people dont have to know. After all, a mantra is something you keep to yourself!
An individual was overheard saying in the caf the other day that hed never forgive himself for stalling in his decision to buy a piece of property that had everything location, great low maintenance condition, reasonable price, recent renovations, etc.
Please Don T Procrastinate
Its positive effects must never be underestimated.
If we did all the things we are capable of doing, we would literally astound ourselves. Now you know the truth - procrastination is an expensive mistake. Youve taken detoursshort-cuts. If you and upper management no longer see eye-to-eye on your role in the whole scheme of things, then cut your losses (emotional losses included) and hand in your resignation. If you take the number of man hours per day that are taken up by meetings, multiply that number by 5 days and then multiply that again by 50 (excluding Christmas and New Year). Theyre the classic procrastinators at work. |
